Antetype is the best, most productive tool for UI design I have ever used. It does everything, from web applications to iPhone and Android apps, and it's just unbelievable how much time it saves me. There is simply no better tool out there if you're serious about UI design.

The widget library included with Antetype provides you with a complete set of ready-to-use widgets to get you started quickly with your prototyping! Adapt and extend the library for the specific needs of your own projects to harvest the full power of Antetype!
How often do you need to change aspects of your screens and widgets during the design phase of a project? If it’s the screen size that has changed or the height of all your buttons – Antetype keeps everything under control and allows you to make adjustments at any point. Simply edit your elements and you're done.
Every widget can have multiple default and custom states that can immediately be used in presentation mode. Antetype allows you to edit all states at the same time or each state individually. Switch back and forth between states instead of having to keep different copies.
Design projects can be so time-consuming and frustrating. How often have you had to go back through dozens of screens and change many widgets in each one in order to adapt to the latest design changes? Just a slight change of the background color of your text boxes can easily take up to an hour if you need to update a few Photoshop screens with a number of text boxes in each. With Antetype, this feat is performed with just one click!
If a property of a widget is changed this is indicated. You can easily update your changes for the widget and all instances or revert to the original settings.
Envisioning your user interface using wireframes helps you to figure out how everything will work and is important ground-work for a great user experience. But there comes the point at which realistic, pixel-exact mock-ups become necessary and this is where Antetype shows its unique strength in that it allows you complete artistic freedom to design all the elements in your mock-up.
Create your own gradients with any number of color stops and positions to design great-looking user interface elements.
A lot
of elements in today’s user interfaces don’t have sharp
edges — everything is nicely rounded and smooth. Antetype
allows you to define rounded corners individually down to each
corner.
Where there is light, there is shadow and shadows are important to give elements prominence in the UI as well as distinguish different areas or simply to give an element that last visual touch.
Antetype supports inner and drop shadows for elements as well as text shadows.
All elements are based on vectors which means they will stay crisp and sharp even when zoomed-in! Antetype will even export your designs as vector-based PDFs that will scale without blurring.
Making high-quality but static mock-ups of your design is just the first step of prototyping in which Antetype supports you with. The interaction system enables you to model not only the look but also the feel, the behavior, of a user interface. Switch between screens, change widget states automatically or show and hide elements to create an experience as close as possible to an implemented application!
Let your design automatically react to events such as Clicks or Mouse Enter.
Assign actions to any of these events. Antetype lets you show and hide elements, change the state of widgets or switch to another screen.
Enter Presentation Mode to see your behaviors in action.
You don’t have to manually add the behavior for your widgets to switch between
default states. Antetype will automatically
switch between the states Normal,
MouseOver and Pressed in Presentation Mode.
Use the built-in Presentation Mode to view your prototype in action or to present it to an audience. The screen is completely black so your design is sure to be the center of attention.
Export your prototype for cross-platform viewing in a web browser including all of your interactions.
The Antetype iOS Viewer App allows you to literally have your prototypes at your fingertips. Evaluate prototypes of iPad Apps on the device or use it to show any design you made to others.
User interfaces are seldom static, so why should your prototypes be? Antetype offers a range of layout modes that allow you to create highly flexible and dynamic layouts. Want to show your design in a different resolution? Simply resize the canvas area and your layout will do the rest!
Buttons should only be as large as their content (allowing for some padding) and Toolbars should always stretch to the available space, thus growing and shrinking with their environment.
These flexible sizing policies are needed all the time, yet software that is widely used for the visual design of user interfaces does not support this task at all. Antetype makes this a breeze. Just set your element to “Shrink” to make it as small as possible while still fitting its content or “Stretch” to let it use all available space. Done!
This simple layout will overlay your elements on top of each other and lets you control their alignment (e.g. center or left-aligned).
Looking through other user interfaces, it is easy to see that (in a great many cases) elements are often arranged horizontally next to each other or vertically like in a list. Photoshop etc. will not support you with this requirement at all – in Antetype it's a piece of cake!
Combine this layout with some flexible sizing of your elements and you get highly adaptable, realistic layouts for example for tab rows or toolbars.
While you can use Antetype’s layout modes to create highly dynamic layouts, it can be desirable to let an element ignore the layout and just tell it where to go, e.g. top left of its parent. Float mode does exactly that and lets you get on with your work.
